Service Super Stars: Rosemary Davis & Sean Foley
This month's Service Super Star is a twofor - Rosemary Davis and Sean Foley
I would like to nominate two people for this honor (although they are completely supported also by their spouses Scott and Vivian, respectively): Rosemary Davis and Sean Foley.
Behind their backs residents refer to them as Mayor Davis and Mayor Foley.
Living in the small neighborhood around the temple, these two are voluntary shepherds of the flock, both LDS and non-LDS (probably 40% LDS and 60% non-LDS).
They go out of their way to greet new residents, get their contact information, and make them feel welcome.
Rosemary wanders through the hood on every holiday occasion distributing small treats to each home, and she and Scott often throw parties welcoming all types of riff-raff living here haha. The invitations are looked-for!
Sean maintains & distributes to all of us a directory of residents with names, addresses (email and physical), and phone numbers. He keeps everybody informed of events that might affect them, like the recent Temple Run, ward events open to everybody, blood drives, etc. Together with a non-member neighbor he organizes block parties twice a year which are quite popular and well-attended.
The genuine interest they show in all who join the community is a great contributing factor to our harmony and identity, and encourages the rest of us to be neighborly also!
