An estimate of only 2%-5% of Deaf people attend church because they don’t have the resources needed. In the Kansas City area, we have two magnet congregations for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HH) here at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! We would love your help to move this work forward and help our ASL missionaries find more Deaf and HH friends.  How?  

1. Send referrals for those you know who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (see numbers below)!
   
2. Learn ASL at a class!  All levels welcome!

• Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at the Olathe Kansas Stake Center (see address below).

• Thursdays at 7:00 pm at the Liberty Missouri Stake Center (see address below).

3. Join us!

We have an ASL event every month. Contact us if you want announcements, or join our “Kansas City Deaf Community” Facebook group.

Also, the Kansas City Missouri Temple has ASL temple endowment sessions and ASL baptism dates! You can find them anytime on our stake calendar.

• February 21st – Baptisms from 10:30 am – 11:30 am
• March 14th – Endowment session at 4:30 pm 
• May 9th – Endowment session at 4:30 pm
• May 30th – Baptisms from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
• July 11th – Endowment session at 4:30 pm 
• August 22nd – Baptisms from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
• September 12th – Endowment session at 4:30 pm
• November 14th – Endowment session at 4:30 pm
• December 12th – Baptisms from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
