God Can Help Us with the Little Things
God is in the details of our lives
Rebecca Morgan, Communications Council Specialist (Hodge Park Ward)

This was honestly so much fun.
And let me tell you something about it … I should not have caught that ball – like a 90 percent chance I was going to drop it. Jeremiah Morgan had one week to teach his 50-something wife, who never learned to catch a baseball and who has exactly ZERO eye-hand coordination, how to catch a baseball. I have the missed-ball bruises to prove it. But I prayed. And I really didn’t have the skill to catch it. So what if I missed the ball. Inconsequential. Minor embarrassment. But I think sometimes God helps us even with seemingly inconsequential things just to help us remember He is there. Not every time. But He did for me this time. And I’m grateful for it. And I’ve asked my children to write this moment into my eulogy – “that time she caught a baseball”.
Rebecca and her husband Elder Jeremiah Morgan throw the first pitch at the Royals game on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Just Serve Night at the K, where people all over the Kansas City Metro were asked to come to the Royals Game, especially those who support JustServe.org and service in general. Many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attended the event.
