New Overland Park Kansas Stake Created

Olathe Kansas Stake is split into two stakes

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Overland Park Kansas Stake was created from the Olathe Kansas Stake during a special stake conference. Eric B. Gillis was called as president of newly formed Overland Park Stake, with D. Kelly Rindlisbacher, first counselor and Brad P. Halverson, second counselor. Congregations in the stake include Heritage Park Ward, Mound City Branch, Overland Park 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wards, Paola Ward and Stanley Ward.

The new stake presidency of the Olathe Kansas Stake includes Ryan Call, president; Ryan Beasley, first counselor and Sergio Aguilar, second counselor. Congregations in the stake include Gardner Ward, Iola Ward, Olathe 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wards, Ottawa Ward and Pioneer Trails Ward.
