Young Men Camps offer many lessons
This year each ward held their own Young Men’s Camp. Some wards traveled to state parks, many included temple baptisms as part of their week, several did service projects and there was a fair amount of wilderness experiences.
Here are three reports:
North Brook Park Ward Young Men’s Camp – Nauvoo

Jared Christensen, Bishopric member (North Brook Park Ward)
Our Aaronic Priesthood camp to Nauvoo turned our Doctrine and Covenants study into living scripture! Journeying by train, we traced the very streets trodden by the early Saints, pausing in homes, workshops, and sacred spots where revelation once flowed. With each step, the Spirit confirmed the truth of the restored gospel, expanding our love for the prophet and pioneers who laid the foundation we now build upon. Gratitude filled our hearts as we listened to stories of sacrifice, courage, and joyful faith. Evenings around the campfire laughing, playing, and praying together, knit our brotherhood tighter, leaving us resolved to carry this heritage forward with the same devotion that was seen in Nauvoo.

Josh Jones (Doniphan Ward)
Doniphan Ward Young Men’s Camp – a Storm in Arkansas
One day, while I was at Young Men Camp, a really bad storm was coming in. We asked the Bishop in the Beaver Lake area if we could use their Stake Center for refuge from the storm. The Bishop did us one better and told us to come to their house. While we were there, they brought out games and food for us.
There were about 19 boys and 7 leaders there. We stayed at the Bishop’s house for about 3 hours. It was from 9-12 pm. We did not pack up. We did put some stuff in a trailer but we left most of it in our tents. Yes, some of the tents flooded from the storm. A lot of our supplies got soaked but not all of it. The love and support that the bishop and his family showed us really made this experience the most memorable of camp.
This experience helped me realize just how great and generous the people in the church are. Because of their generosity, I also want to do good to others and help out as much as I can.

Hodge Park Ward Young Men’s Camp – Bonding in Arkansas

Kevin Renfroe, Bishopric 2nd Counselor (Hodge Park Ward)
For Hodge Park Ward’s 2025 young men’s camp the boys went down to Arkansas close to beaver lake. The leaders and boys enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, playing in the lake, and having some needed down time away from phones and around a camp fire. Deacons, teachers, and Priests all prepared messages to share each night, and the camp ended with a powerful testimony meeting.
